i heard that mayan priests were the ones who created this calender and died in december causing the prediction?
because if the last 1 to die is the priest then that means the calender ends causing these ignorant close minded people say i guess it means this is the end and then start rumors scaring ppl i have already seen commercials of hospitals saying come to us for 2012 survival we have shelter can anyone help me?and please no religious comments im athiest.

The Mayan Calendar doesn’t end in 2012. Probably never does, but who can tell? The Mayans used units like seconds, minutes, hours, etc… except they got bigger and bigger until it was ridiculous.
Where we had to invent words for "millions of years" and "billions of years", the Mayan already had them. Did this mean they are very advanced? No, perhaps a little Obsessive-Compulsive, though.
